Your First Visit is Special!

Your first appointment with Mooring Dental is a special one. It isn’t only an opportunity for us to get to know your smile, it is also an opportunity to get to know YOU! We value you as a whole person with unique needs and concerns, and we treat you that way– from the first phone call through every visit you have with us. We want your time with us to feel more like a visit with friends than a trip to a dental clinic.

First Visit Experience

Getting to know you actually begins on the phone! When you call to schedule your appointment, we will take a little time to chat with you so that we can schedule just the right amount of time to tailor it to your needs.

  • If you have significant dental needs or a complex dental history, we invite you to take advantage of our 1.5-hour exam with Dr. Mooring. This visit may also involve another hour with our hygiene team
  • If you’ve had a cleaning within the last year and are simply transferring your care to our office, we will bring you in for a 1 hour doctor exam and 1 hour of hygiene
  • If you are shopping for a new dental home or are curious about what we might offer you, schedule a complimentary, ten minute chat with our doctors and team

Once you are in our comfortable office, you will be warmly welcomed and greeted, then taken for a tour of our office. We love showing off our sterilization system, the lab, our CEREC machine, our cone-beam scanner….well, the list could go on and on. We are pretty proud of what we have to offer!

Once you know where everything is and have met the team, it’s time for a consultation with the doctor and a comprehensive exam. After this intensive review and analysis, Dr. Mooring will discuss his findings with you and, when necessary, work with you to develop a treatment plan to get your mouth healthy and whole. If you need a cleaning and can fit it in your schedule, we will move you on to hygiene that day, or bring you back for a cleaning. We hope you’ll leave feeling at home, educated, and ready to find your ideal smile!

Amenities/Comforts

Your comfort is just as important to us as your health. After all, if you aren’t comfortable with us, you might not come back to get the care you really need!

As soon as you enter the office, help yourself to a cup of coffee, tea, or water from the cooler. Once in the chair, ask us for a comforting blanket, a cozy pillow, and headphones on which to listen to your choice of music. We also have Sonos speakers in every room if you’d rather not wear headphones. After your treatment, freshen up with a warm towelette, and you’ll be ready to face the rest of your day.

To help you feel completely informed and understand all of your treatment options, we offer educational videos both in the lounge area and on individual iPads, as well as computers in each treatment room so you can view your x-rays, digital photos, and intra-oral camera results along with us.

We want your dentistry to be as affordable as possible. That’s why we offer a variety of payment and financing options including:

  • In-office financing for qualifying patients
  • Our Mooring Dental Membership Plan to provide benefits and discounts without the headaches of dental insurance
